This Week In Class…

This week was really busy for me at school. I had so man projects and tests , everything!! In choir class I had a quiz about the treble clef and the base clef notes. I had a quiz on it and I got 100 precent. If you are intested into learning music notes check out this website.

In science we are learning about fungi.Whats fungi ? Have you ever seen mold on a slice of bread.Yep,well, thats Fungi.  Well if you are intrested to learn about fungi here is a site.

We are still studying Islam in S.S

Each group has a city. My groups sity is Damascus. I have learned so much about this city, about its history and modern Damascus. Syria is the countrey where Damascus is loacated.

In Art, I learned how to make an artwork using papers. I had to write a story and then illustrate it using paper. I learned that it is much easier drawing it because if there are small tiny details that need to be repeated in the picture many times, it gets frustating and difficult. But it was still fun. Also in art, we had one day of finger painting with only three colors; yellow, blue, an red. In my group, we went crazy!! We started pouring all of the colors and then we got ur hands al dirty!! We ended up having a chaotic, amazing painting! Every color was everywhere

Week Without Walls ( Fantasy)

Every year in middle school we have a special week where we travel out of the country. It’s called Week Without Walls. Here is a post that I wrote about it but i added alot of fantasy to it. We added fantasy to it because we are reading a book in class called A Wrinkle in Time which has a lot of creative fantasy inserted into the text. Week without walls was really nothing out of the ordinary. When we entered the Space craft. A baboon with bright purple lipstick showed us to our seat. I was lucky enough to have been sitting with my friends. Some people, ended up sitting next to strangers. One of my friends had to sit between a three-eyed frog and gassy squid. As, I sat down expecting that the seat had the pillow like feeling, like the one that they had in first class, instead it that felt like it was built out of stone. Starving, hoping that the food might be delicious. Like a big juicy stake or Tacos. I was craving like a pregnant women. But my dreams were shattered because the food was revolting. I would have gagged but that would have been rude since the flight attendant was watching me eat. She gave me an uncomfortable feeling. She was watching me a lot, even when she was assisting other people she was watching me from the corner of her eye. But I didn’t do anything! I was just listening to my ipod.
What seemed to be a lifetime later, we arrived at our destination, the moon. I took a deep breath in hoping to inhale fresh air, big mistake. As I was breathing in a fly jumped into my mouth. I started coughing and gagging. Well at least it was protein.
So far, not so good. My trip was lousy and I had just swallowed a bug. It wasn’t any ordinary bug it was a space bug. God knows where its been all day! Everyone was really tired and all we wanted to do was fall asleep in our beds. We kind of concluded that they cabins were gonna be disgusting and dirty. But I was incorrect for, like the tenth time that day. Our rooms were amazing. Before we walked in the room we had to state our first name and last name. Then there was this weird music and the door opened with smoke and lights coming out of the room. At first I thought that there was a fire but then I realized that it was all just effects. There was a huge plasma screen in the room. It was the size of the wall, which wasn’t small. And our beds were water beds and the walls of the rooms were purple. But the best part, I would have to say was the 24 hour room service. I threw my luggage to one side and jumped on the bed and before my head could reach the pillow I fell fast asleep. I woke up the next morning to a knock on our door. It was break-fast in bed. The food wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t that bad either. I hurried up, got ready and then headed for my first activity. My first activity was Snorkeling. We went to the surface of the moon and jumped off. We were swimming in outer space observing how beautiful everything was. Then all of a sudden I saw a gray thing rapidly fly by me and then I concentrated more to find out that it was a space shark! I started screaming “ I saw a shark! Where did it go?! Where is it going?” “ You see, sharks and most of living things in outer space live the way human do back on earth. They wake up go to work and then come back home to there families. And that shark you saw, yeah that would be Bob. Always late for work, he is.”, laughed my snorkeling instructor.

The next few days went like the first. Wake up, eat, activity, eat, activity, sleep. Our activities were amazingly fun! We had mountain biking, kayaking between stars, etc.

Sadly, it was time to go home after a hard week of fun. But we did miss our parents and siblings. But I will never forget my journey through Space.
